With respiratory problems within the family, Sylvia Darragh, the Managing Director of Natural Salt Therapy Ltd, set up the Company in November 2019 after having experienced the benefits of salt therapy first hand.
Driven by the knowledge that 12 million people are diagnosed with lung conditions each year, the UK has the 4th highest mortality rate in Europe which hasn’t improved in the last 10 years. Lung disease is the UK’s 3 rd biggest killer and it also has one of the highest emergency admission and death rates for childhood asthma in Europe and COPD is the only major cause of death that is on the increase.
With the firm belief that salt therapy could help so many people, Sylvia travelled to Estonia to meet with Iiris, the longest running and most respected manufacturers of halogenerators. Their passion, quality and knowledge was inspiring and she knew this was the company she wanted to represent. Together with the team from Iiris, Sylvia visited a number of locations in Estonia which operate salt rooms ranging from Spa’s to nursery schools. It is a given right across Northern Europe and Russia that everyone has access to this treatment even in hospitals and health care facilities.
